Forum for business, political and societal leaders
The mission of Vilnius GreenTech Forum is not only to bring together experts, business, science, and politicians to discuss technological progress and solutions that create a future based on the green economy but also to identify solutions that can have the greatest positive impact and promote agreement on their implementation and funding.
It’s necessary to seek progress for the world to become greener, safer, and more democratic. Focusing on real solutions accelerates the green economy, increases security, and strengthens democracy, which is why our forum is unique.
After all, there are many forums on technology that exists in the European Union. However, many of them are blind to security and democracy because they ignore the fact that at a time when real efforts are needed to build a democratic and secure world, some influential business groups and countries are trying to stop this progress. By participating in the evolution of technology, contributing to the formation of attitudes of society and the political elite, exploiting the full range of geopolitical, economic, and propaganda influences, those groups seek to save the old world of fossil fuels. A world in which energy concerns close to or directly dependent on dictatorial states would continue to dominate and increase their influence. A world in which our entire planet, not only the EU border and Lithuania, would be overflowing with Russian-made nuclear reactors reminiscent of the Chernobyl disaster.
We must not be afraid and confront such an insecure future, because that is the only way we can build a green, democratic, and secure future. We, therefore, call on all advanced business, political and societal forces to unite and work together to achieve the most important mission of this century: to move as quickly as possible on the path to building a green economy, strengthening democracy, and building well-being and security.
